Our thanks to Stuart of Water Explorer for providing the power for this page.

On the map, you will see a home pin pin showing where Epiphany is.

When we are cruising, this is a real-time GPS marker. If our GPS (Global Positioning System) unit is switched on, the icon moves with us - a bit like the story of the wise men who had their own Epiphany! It updates every 10 minutes, providing we have an internet connection, using our 3 USB modem. Water Explorer's Navvygator system uses the GPS unit and a laptop to follow our route along the canal or river. Our last/current mooring is shown on the right hand side of this page.

If you click on the map, the Water Explorer website will open in a new tab or window, giving you all the facilities of Google Maps combined with Water Explorer to show the waterways we are cruising. Epiphany is shown as a yellow arrow, indicating the last direction cruised.

Don't forget to close the tab and come back to the nbEpiphany website when you have looked around!

And all this should tie in with the Blog and the Gallery - we hope! What a mixed technology - using satellites and the internet on a canal narrowboat!
